The former directories `latex' and `web2c' have been deleted to reflect
the fact that the contents of both of these directories were out of date,
unsupported, and deprecated.

For up to date versions of LaTeX and web2c, see the Comprehensive TeX
Archive Network (CTAN) sites.  This is a mirrored network of ftp
servers at ftp.tex.ac.uk and ftp.dante.de which are widely mirrored
and hold up to date copies of all the public-domain versions of TeX,
LaTeX, Metafont and ancillary programs.  Be sure to visit
http://www.tug.org/ too!
